Zara X Pride

In the alternate world of no judgement of the boy, now a man.
During the lockdown, looking at childhood pictures and reliving those memories was my family's favorite pastime. One picture that we talked the most about and loved was my brother in a frock all dolled-up. My mother tells me that she loved dressing him. But the truth is the same family looks down upon any grown man should he even express any interest to wear a seemingly feminine clothing. Once grown up, the same little kid who was celebrated and accepted with skirts will be questioned on his gender for the very same expression. The kid did not had to face the discrimination, or be judged or questioned.
Conceptualizing, Photographing and Styling this series, made me push the boy, now a man, to not care about what the black & white world says and cat-walk on the rainbow colored ramp. The man is on the journey of self-expression and self-love which might be difficult to accept for some but is actually beautiful in its own way.
